For the past two years, our non-profit organization has been actively involved in contributing to the Read Across America initiative. In the first year, during National Read Across America Week, we embarked on a mission to foster a love for literature among children. It was a delight to distribute 86 books, accompanied by popcorn and other snacks, to the students at Southwest Charlotte STEM Academy. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Shekeria Barnes, the Founding Principal, for warmly embracing us into the Rocket Family.

Building on the success of our first year, the following year, our dedicated board members decided to take a unique approach. We created an engaging video of ourselves reading a book called “Spoon”, which had a wonderful message. We shared this reading with numerous schools across the US and Uganda, extending the impact of our initiative far beyond our immediate reach. Through these efforts, we aim to inspire a lifelong passion for reading and make a positive impact on the educational journey of young minds.
